What atelier.space is, and what it is not

atelier.space is an AI-augmented infinite whiteboard by Loopling. Its assistant is called Muse. It is not Muse the canvas notes app, and not a whiteboard feature inside a design suite.

atelier.space is an AI-augmented infinite whiteboard made by Loopling. Notes, images, video, files, web links and generative work live together in one dark space, and an AI called Muse thinks alongside you about what is in it. Model replies land back in the space as new pieces rather than scrolling away in a thread.

The name needs disambiguating, so this page does that plainly.

It is not Muse, the canvas notes app

There is a well-known thinking canvas called Muse, from Muse Software, now released as Allume. It is a good product and it is a different one. The collision is real and unfortunate: atelier's assistant is named Muse, so the two words appear together in both places for unrelated reasons.

If you are looking for the canvas notes app, you want museapp.com. If you are looking for the whiteboard where an AI generates images, video, music and 3D into the space with you, that is atelier.space.

It is not a whiteboard feature inside a design suite

Several design suites now ship an AI whiteboard mode. atelier is not one of them and is not a plugin for one. It is a standalone product with its own account, its own storage, and its own generation lanes.

It is not a chat product with a drawing surface bolted on

The distinction that matters: the space is the context. Muse reads the pieces that are in view and the connections drawn between them, rather than a linear transcript. Connecting two pieces is a statement Muse can read, not just a decoration.

What the words mean here

A few terms are used precisely, because they mean other things elsewhere:

A space is the document you work in — one saved whiteboard, and you can keep as many as you like. The word canvas is reserved for the rendering layer underneath it.
A wish is a sense you have no word for yet, spoken to Muse and grown across rounds you steer.
Ink is the material generation is made from. A subscription buys ink; thinking with Muse on the Sonnet-class model costs none.
The commons, also called the Wider Sky, is where makers release finished work for others to find.

One thing that is true and sounds like marketing

atelier's own releases are written and shipped by an autonomous loop rather than by hand — proposals are filed, built, reviewed, and merged nightly under a written policy that names what the loop will not build. It is stated here because it is checkable in the product's release history, not as a claim about quality.
